With our comprehensive curriculum and in-depth instruction, you'll have the skills and confidence to tackle the most challenging routes in Eldorado Canyon and beyond. Some common features that we climb on are Wind Tower, Bastille, Redgarden Wall, and Shirttail Peak. However, any route or specific objective you would like to climb is an option.
We will usually meet around 7-8 AM at the trailhead and hike in from there. Approach times vary depending on the objective, but the most remote climbing in Eldo is about 40 min. With the vast majority of climbing being accessible in much less than 30 min of hiking. From there we will spend several hours climbing one of the many cliffs fantastic cliffs in Eldo. Our descent may include some technical rappelling, hiking, or a combination of both. We may choose to do two or more routes in a single day if we are moving efficiently. The day usually wraps up around 2-3 PM or whenever we've had our fill of climbing.

The clothing you bring will depend greatly on the time of year, weather forecast and objective for the specific outing. We will contact you beforehand to make sure you are setup for success. Generally weather in Eldo can be a bit chilly in the shade or mornings so a light fleece and a wind jacket. In the summer months, a T-shirt is all thats necessary.
There are many routes of all grades and length for climbers of every ability level. However, the dense sandstone of Eldorado Canyon is a very unique rock and can take a little while to build your confidence. Using your feet and having good footwork will make the climbing feel easier.
Some people climb in Eldo all year. Through the winter months it can be snowy on northern aspects, but sunny, warm and dry on southern aspects. The typical climbing season spans from early April through October.
